Diplomat, photographer and writer, Chris began contributing to Archant publications while working in Beirut in 2004. On his return to Britain in 2006 he started writing for Archant’s county magazines, expecially Herefordshire Life, for which he now contributes short, illustrated features on people, places and events in the region. Chris and his artist wife Lynne live in rural Herefordshire, near Ledbury.

The Reverend Ian Charlesworth is Rector of five parishes in the Wye Valley. With former innkeeper and watercolourist Richard Stockton, he writes a monthly column, for Herefordshire Life and Worcestershire Life magazines in which the dynamic duo go in search of charming churches and interesting inns. Together they are the Parson and the Publican.

With The Reverend Ian Charlesworth he travels the region visiting churches and inns. He then provides a report on the inns, along with watercolour illustrations for the articles.

2011, 1 race, 26.2 miles. That is the Virgin London Marathon and I intend to be on the starting line on Sunday 17th April, 2011. This will be my third marathon and once again I will be running for Macmillan Cancer Support - an amazing organisation that has touched so many people. What's ahead over the next six months? Who knows? But, whatever it is I intend to share it with readers of Herefordshire Life. Join me on my journey to London 2011
