About Herefordshire & Wye Valley Life magazine
Herefordshire & Wye Valley Life is a celebration of all that is great about life in this wonderful county.
With a fascinating heritage, vibrant communities and breathtaking landscapes Herefordshire is one of the most desirable places to live in Britain. It is a county of unspoilt countryside; of delicious produce from its apples and pears making the best cider and perry to its beef; a place with a city, towns and villages each with unique character and where the people take pride in and celebrate their heritage.
From Hereford with its magnificent cathedral, mixture of traditional, independent and High Street shops and thriving Arts culture to the wonderful walking in diverse and dramatic countryside; from the many museums, heritage sites and stately homes to the wealth of fairs and festivals; from the increasingly sophisticated dining out experiences to the historic churches of the Golden Valley, all life is here despite this being a county of around 180,000.
Herefordshire isn’t a county that boasts about its celebrity yet many famous names settle here for the tranquillity and the inspirational scenery. It’s also a place that cultivates loyalty and pride from its natives and incomers, famous names queued up to become Herefordshire Ambassadors when Herefordshire Tourism looked for the great and good to promote the county nationally and internationally.
The Black and White Villages, the Golden Valley, the historic towns of Ross-on-Wye, Leominster, Ledbury, Bromyard, Kington…; the Flavours Festival and the Walking Festival, the fascinating back streets of Hereford and the glory and peacefulness of the cathedral and its grounds…Herefordshire is still a largely undiscovered county but those who live here and who visit wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
If you are visiting or thinking of moving to other counties in Britain the Archant Life portfolio of premium magazines can be enjoyed in most areas. Archant Life is the largest publisher of regional magazines in the UK.

Hi: Is not the Richard Stockley, pictured page 22, of the February issue of Herefordshire Life not the same Richard Stockton, pages 60-63 of the same issue, whose articles with the Reverend Ian Charlesworth, under the title The Parson and the Publican are the cause of me buying the magazine since finding their first piece in Worcestershire Life in September, 2010? I so enjoy their writings - full of detail and humour; the equivalent and equal, I think, of the popular television series, Two Fat Ladies.
